Timelapse: Modeling a creature head

I have just finished recording a new timelapse of modeling a creature head in blender for anyone interested. Original modeling time was approximately one hour, then sped up 6x for a finished time of 10 minutes. Music was supposed to accompany this timelapse but it seems YouTube was unable to process the audio upon upload…

Enjoy!

Could you give a quick list of the keyboard shortcuts you use and what effect they have. I am unable to use Blender as efficiently I as I see people do in these timelapses videos (when you slow them down that is).

You should maybe give credit/reference to the artist that did the concept drawing, if you did not draw it yourself.

merdum, en quel format était la vidéo ? flash truc ? le plugin déconne complet sur gentoo linux x86_64 en émulation 32bits, ça chie dans la colle. Y a pas moyen de poser les vidéos dans quelque chose de plus … standard ? ;)

    Thanks for your effort,
but without the ability to slow down the speed to really see whats going on, I find all these timelapse videos a waste of time.
    And YouTube sucks.

Creative drawing. And nice work on the ears and eyes too. What made you think up this creature?

Fantastic timelapse! Would you mind showing the finished model with a subsurf modifier?

  9. Really enjoyed your presentation during the NYC Blender conference last fall. Will point my (Lightwave) students to this movie though it might be just a tad intimidating for beginning modeling students :)

And yes, please post an image of the finished model!
